The Opportunity
Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. We are seeking a Product Manager to take ownership of our General Partner (GP) product suite, and lead the formulation, execution, and communication of our GP product roadmap.
The Product Manager, GP Portfolio Monitoring will report to the Head of Product and sit across a diverse array of stakeholders, including: Engineering, Design, Client Services, and Business Development. You will work closely with clients and prospects to understand their business needs, identify technology solutions, determine priority, and articulate our product strategy via roadmap presentations and other external touchpoints. Strong communication skills, including a deep understanding of private equity terminology and a demonstrated ability to communicate with sophisticated private market investors, is a must.
We value people who take pride in their work and show an aptitude for learning quickly. Our ideal candidate would have prior experience in a front or middle office role at a Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Private Credit firm, with subsequent success as a Product professional. Direct experience in a buy-side role is strongly preferred, but we will also consider Product Managers with extensive experience serving private market GPs at a fintech vendor. Above all, candidates should have a deep understanding of private equity and/or private credit, corporate finance, private market valuation processes, GP-LP reporting requirements, and an expert understanding of private capital workflows and norms.
As the Product Manager of our GP Product, you will:
Drive key product decisions and take ownership of the GP product strategy and execution
Develop a deep understanding of client use cases, and define creative solutions to automate portfolio company data collection, streamline valuation processes, and simplify investor reporting
Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business needs, technical feasibility and, resource availability
Plan and manage agile sprints, ensuring clear objectives, timely progress and coordinating cross-functional delivery
Work closely with a best-in-class Engineering team to deliver high-quality product features in a timely and efficient manner
Build excitement in the market for our product vision via regular client engagement and roadmap presentations
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Two (2) or more years of professional product management or comparable technology experience
Detailed knowledge of the private equity, venture capital, and private credit markets, preferably through prior experience as a buyside professional
An intuitive familiarity with the various user personas across the PE, VC, & Credit landscape, and how operational dynamics vary by fund strategy, size, and geography
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with deep experience articulating roadmap strategy and drafting product specs
An ability to tailor your messaging to engage with various stakeholders, and to distill key business needs from end user feedback
An ability to efficiently prioritize, triage, and synthesize multiple perspectives
An understanding of what it takes to ship high-quality SaaS products and features at scale
Positive attitude, sense of humor, and creativity
Nice to haves:
Familiarity with Scrum methodology and/or other common product development processes
Technical aptitude, including previous experience writing technical documents or coding
