Introduction

It’s no secret that increasingly more and more individuals are learning about product management, and wanting to undergo the career transition into becoming a fully fledged Product Manager. There are several reasons for this including the possibility of remote work, a greater variety of work through development sprints, and of course the possibility of a salary increase. With such growing popularity, a question often asked by those looking to either begin their journey as a Product Manager, or looking to grow their career, is “how much can a Product Manager earn?”

Having previously discussed the salary of a Product Manager, there is an understanding that many factors can influence the complete compensation package offered including industry, location, and company size. However, just how much would a Product Manager earn if all their stars aligned and they landed their dream job? Enter Duolingo, a globally recognised tech company with a valuation of over $7.6 billion (USD).

Duolingo is looking for their next Director of Product Management, a role which is paired with an impressive list of responsibilities and objectives. For the candidate best suited to this exciting opportunity, a base salary ranging from $196,000 to $426,000 awaits. This base salary does not include Duolingo's robust compensation package which includes equity, a range of benefits, and a suite of bonuses.
